We love our runners and want to accommodate where possible so we offer the following deferral, refund and transfer policies. Please take a moment to review all of the options.

1. 100% refund through the Refund Protection Policy
2. Request a 50% withdrawal refund
3. Deferral into a not yet sold out CMTR race
4. Transfer your entry to another athlete
5. Transfer your entry to a different distance

1. 100% refund through the Refund Protection Policy
A 100% refund is only available to those who purchased the third party Refund Protection Policy offered at the time of registration. You can make your refund claim through this link: Request My Refund
If the reason for withdrawing is not covered under the Refund Protection's policy terms, you can still make a request for a 50% withdrawal refund, defer your entry, or transfer your bib to another runner. 
NOTE: Claims should be made within 30 days after a covered reason first begins and may require supporting documents (i.e., doctor’s note).

2. Request a 50% withdrawal refund
If you wish to withdraw, but did not purchase the Refund Protection Policy, or if your policy claim was denied, you can request a refund for 50% of your registration fees. The deadline to request a 50% withdrawal refund is May 20, 2025.

3. Deferral into a not yet sold out CMTR race
You can defer your entry into a not yet sold out CMTR race (excluding the Squamish 50) up to but not including next year’s WHM. 
To receive a 100% deferral of fees, please make your deferral request up to 30 days before the WHM race day. Between 14 to 30 days before WHM race day, you can defer 50% of race fees. Entries can only be deferred a single time, to a single event.

4. Transfer your entry to a different athlete
The deadline to transfer your entry to a different athlete is May 20, 2025. 

1. Existing athlete finds new athlete to take their spot
2. Existing athlete goes to Online Registration Page
3. On the right side of the page, click TRANSFER button
4. Existing athlete signs in to Race Roster Account
5. ​Choose new athlete tab
6. Enter email address of new athlete
7. New athlete watches for email from Race Roster stating transfer initiated
8. New athlete clicks link in email and completes transfer forms, makes payment (including transfer fee)
9. Original Athlete is refunded once the transfer process is completed by the new athlete

NOTE: There is a $10 administration fee to transfer to a different athlete. athlete.

5. Transfer your entry to a different distance
The deadline to transfer your entry to a different distance is May 20, 2025.

1. Go to Online Registration Page
2. On the right side of the page, click TRANSFER button
3. Sign in to Race Roster Account
4. Choose new sub event distance that you would like to participate in 
5. Complete transfer forms

NOTE: For athletes upgrading to a longer distance, you will be prompted to pay for the fee difference during the transfer. There are no refunds when downgrading to a shorter distance.
