The most common forms of inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD), Crohns and Ulcerative Colitis affect over 270,000 Canadian Men, Women, and Children. These chronic diseases can strike anyone at anytime, causing severe abdominal pain, cramping, fatigue and other issues. We aim to elevate the awareness of IBD within our community and raise money to support research to find a cure.
$5 of each registration will be forwarded to Crohn's and Colitis Canada at the conclusion of The Whistler Half Marathon each year. Participants can print a pledge form and collect donations from friends, family and co-workers, or make an additional donation to the foundation at the time of registration. You can enhance your efforts with online fundraising too - easy to set up and even easier to share!
Donations of $20 or more made during registration or through pledges using the pledge sheet, will be recognized with a tax deductable receipt issued by Crohn's and Colitis Canada. When collecting pledges of $20 or more please ensure that the donors complete mailing address is clearly printed on the pledge form to assist with accurate delivery of the tax receipt.
Participants who choose to collect pledges can either bring their completed pledge forms with cash and cheques to package pick up where one of our volunteers would accept it, or you can send it directly to Crohn's and Colitis Canada British Columbia regional office at:
