Wheelchair and Visually Impaired Athletes

Wheelchair Athletes

Picture
While our course is fully accessible and it is not paved all of the way, making it unsuitable for wheelchair athletes, we also do not recommend it for race chair athletes due to Whistler's topography and the fact that the course includes a few steep hills.

.

Visually Impaired Athletes

Picture
Athletes registering in the visually impaired division are required to run with a guide. The guide does not have to pay the registration fee, but will be required to sign a waiver at package pick up so please ensure that the guide attends.

All athletes do follow the same course, and the course is not 100% paved, there are long stretches of gravel roadway on our hybrid (paved and gravel) courses. . Our course design aims to minimize or eliminate the smallest of obstacles, however roadways and gravel pathways can have uneven surfaces.

Wheelchair and Visually Impaired athletes are asked to contact us after registering to ensure our race team is aware you are taking part
